Our Care Home Facilities

We believe that providing an exceptional quality of life begins with an environment that feels like home. Our facilities have been thoughtfully designed to balance modern convenience with a warm, communal atmosphere, ensuring every resident enjoys both independence and support. From our beautifully landscaped gardens to our private, personalised bedrooms, we provide a safe and enriching space where comfort is a priority and a vibrant social life is always within reach.

Own Furniture

We encourage residents to bring their favourite pieces of furniture, family heirlooms, and personal keepsakes to decorate their rooms. Making your space feel like home is essential for a smooth transition and long-term comfort.

Pet Friendly

We understand that pets are part of the family. Our home is pet-friendly, meaning well-behaved companions are often welcome to visit, or in some cases, move in, ensuring that the therapeutic bond between owner and animal is preserved.

Close to local shops

The home is situated just a short distance from the local high street. This allows residents to maintain their independence by popping out for a newspaper, a gift, or a bit of window shopping whenever they fancy a change of scenery.

Nearby Public Transport

Located within easy reach of local bus routes and train stations, our home is perfectly positioned for residents who wish to travel independently or for families visiting from further afield.

Lift & Stair Lift

Our home is designed for effortless mobility. With both full-sized lifts and modern stair lifts installed throughout the premises, every floor and communal area remains fully accessible to all residents, regardless of their physical requirements.

Wheelchair Access

We pride ourselves on providing a barrier-free environment. From extra-wide doorways to level-access flooring and ramps, our facilities are meticulously maintained to ensure those using wheelchairs can move safely and independently.

Gardens

Our beautifully landscaped gardens offer a peaceful retreat for residents to enjoy the fresh air. Whether it’s a morning stroll, a spot of light gardening, or simply sitting on a bench to admire the flowers, our outdoor spaces are a highlight of the home.

Bar/Cafe

Our on-site café area serves as the social heart of the home. It is a wonderful place for residents to meet for a coffee, or host guests in a relaxed, informal setting.

Phone in own room

To ensure residents can maintain easy contact with family and friends, every room includes a private telephone line. This provides a sense of independence and ensures that a friendly conversation is only a button-press away.

Television in own room

Each private room is equipped with a television point, allowing residents to enjoy their favourite programmes, news, and films from the comfort of their own armchair whenever they wish.

Internet Access

We provide high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the home. Whether residents want to browse the web, send emails, or use video calls to see their grandchildren, our reliable connection keeps everyone digitally connected.

What Our Residents & Families Say

We believe the best way to understand the quality of care at Orme View is to hear from those who experience it daily.

Frequently Asked Questions

Orme View is unique because we operate across two distinct buildings located within 100 metres of each other. This layout allows us to provide highly specialised environments—one dedicated to intimate general residential living and the other to expert dementia care—while sharing the same “family focus” philosophy and high standards of local management.

Our philosophy is built on local integration and personal connection. As a privately owned service led by Responsible Individual Steffan Robbins, we prioritise a small-scale, community feel over a corporate one. This is best reflected in our dining, where we reject mass-produced catering in favour of fresh ingredients from local staples like Poyntons Butchers and Henllan Bread.

As an intimate provider with only 30 beds across our entire service, availability can change quickly. We recommend getting in touch with Steffan Robbins directly at 01492 875993 to discuss current vacancies. Because we offer an open-door policy, you don’t need an appointment to come in, see the home, and pick up the necessary application details.

We maintain excellent staffing levels to ensure our residents’ health is closely monitored. We work alongside residents to coordinate visits from external professionals such as chiropodists and hairdressers, though these specific services do incur additional costs outside the standard weekly fee. Our location on Abbey Road also ensures we are well-connected to local Llandudno health services and public transport.

We aim to make our care accessible by accepting a variety of funding streams. This includes private self-funding residents, those supported by the Local Authority (including arrangements involving third-party “Top-Ups”), and individuals qualifying for NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC). We provide a transparent fee structure from the outset to ensure there is no confusion regarding financial commitments.
